SOOOO UPSET!! For a broke ass college student this was the perfect airline! Only complaint I have is that they never answered my email back from last week after my luggage was damaged.
I didn’t have any major issues with the airline, the price was reasonable for us college kids.

GOOD RIDDANCE! Glad to see an awful airline bit the dust. Too bad for everyone stranded now. Giving less than 24 hrs notice to passengers is yet another crappy thing in a LONG line of crap this airline leaves in it’s wake.

Hurray! For an airline devoid of anything resembling customer service, they couldn’t of died fast enough. While I like to see companies and people in general succeed, this airline sucked from the first turn of the fan blade. While there’s nothing wrong with using technology, there is something to having a person or two who wants to help you if you need it.

Contact your credit card company or the airport - you won’t get an email response back from Skybus. I’m still waiting for my refund that was promised on March 21st - I’ve had to reinitiate a claim with my credit card company since I have yet to receive that refund, and now with the message on their website, I have a feeling I’ll never see that refund. I’ve also filed a claim with the BBB (not that it will help, but still…). I’m glad they’re gone. I do feel bad for all the employees who lost their jobs….but good riddance, Skybus.

Flew my family down to Florida on Spring Break (4/3), now what the hell am I to do. No warning, no nothing just stop everything and they don’t give a damn! Called other airlines and if you have a ton of cash they will get us home but for a family of four, I can’t afford that.
If there is a class action lawsuit against Skybus then I want in on it. They knew that they were closing down but kept flying and leaving people stranded.

To anyone stranded by what we call SKYBUST ! Can you say …..AVIS AVIS AVIS AVIS- They absolutely did NOT take advangage of us. Rented a car and our family of 4 drove through the night. The rental was one day with unlimited miles, nothing else! ALLL(I mean alllllllll) of the other car rental companies wanted to charge some $415 for a “one-way rental fee.” And most companies did not even have a car that they would allow to leave Florida.
May we say thank you to AVIS for stepping up when everyone else threw you under!

Now that we are home, We are after AIG Travel Guard Insurance. They plead the 5th and left us stranded TOO and claimed that “airline default” is not a covered expense. Now that we are home, we read the policy- it does not include it, but it does not exclude it either.
Dear AIG,
Suck it up, pay it out, or go belly up like your SKYBUST partner! But don’t ask me to void the policy by requesting a petty premium refund which gets you out of holding the SKYBUST bag! We are not that stupid! Can you underwrite the words CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!

I lost my fare. SkyBus claims that it is not processing refunds, and my credit card will only process one from the last 60 days–I purchased the ticket in November.

I think my story takes the cake. My sister flew out to Kansas City and was stranded when Skybus called it quits. To top it all of, they just so happened to lose her luggage. It had all of my Birthday gifts and her clothes inside. Needless to say, there is probably a very happy Skybus employee wearing my birthday gifts and spending my Birthday cash. I have been to Columbus and KC airport. They even let us in the Skybus luggage room in Port Columbus. The suitcase is nowhere to be found. Oh one more thing…we did have to pay for another flight back with only 2 day notice$$$.

Made it home today and thanks to National Rental Car for helping us. No drop or other hidden fees, we made it home. Contacted our Discover card and have stared the process of getting our money back… I hope so.
Is there and lawsuits against Skybus yet… sorry, I mean SKYBUST (great name… it fits).

How wonderful it was to have the ability to take my Family on a Vacation. I mean how often can you Fly a family of 5 from Ohio to California for a reasonable rate? Like a good boy I bought the tickets early, checked in online, and even paid for some of the ridiculously priced food ($3.00 for a blueberry muffin) and drink ($2.00 for a can of soda) after all where else are you gonna go at 35,000 ft? Service wasn’t the greatest but we couldn’t complain (for the price). Flew out on 3 April 08 to Burbank,CA (Bob Hope, out of the way of course), rented a car and drove the 2+ hours to our destination. We even got tickets to take the kids (3 under 7yrs old) to Disneyland. Only to get the news that our return flight home was cancelled and these s.o.b. couldn’t provide any advanced notice. But hey US Air would help right? Called them and the $50 tickets turned into $100 on standby only. I was told that we may have ended up on 2-3 different flights (My wife and I and our 2, 3, and 7yr olds)WTF? Long story shortened the Budget Rental car charged us $350 to drop the car off at LAX, and we had to purchase tickets on US Air for $180 a seat. No military discount, no honoring the $50 or $100 tickets. Just a “I’m sorry you got stuck, please come again.”
I feel for anyone that had their lives interrupted by these people and hope that if there is a class action suit, they are forced to cover the additional travel expenses of those that they intentionally stranded.
Good Luck on getting your money back from the credit card companies, we were told it could take up to six months.

They should throw all the officers of Skybus in jail. They knew what they were doing. Stealing money. Hang’em high
